The rise in energy demands and escalating environmental considerations have propelled battery-powered Electric Vehicles (EVs) to the forefront as an environmentally conscious substitute for conventional Internal Combustion Engine vehicles in the transportation sector. This paper introduces the design of an Electric Vehicle propulsion system incorporating a Brushless DC motor and a controller. A comparative assessment is undertaken between a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM)-oriented drive system and a hysteresis controller-based drive system. The findings suggest that the hysteresis-based drive system exhibits smoother operation, rendering it a more appropriate choice for Electric Vehicles. The efficacy of the proposed system is substantiated through simulated results.
