During rescue missions, Rescue helicopters usually fly at low altitudes and in a mountainous area. The pilots must have been blocked by mountains and clouds when they are cruising at low altitude. In order to reduce the threat of helicopter’s safety coused by complex terrain and bad weather, this article provides a solution by generating 3D flight-path tube that allows Rescue-helicopters to plan their routes properly. This solution can also reduce the burden on the pilot and provide the best route for the helicopters.
In this paper, the avionics system which can meet the requirements for generating the 3D flight-path tube is constructed. At the same time, the key design technologies such as the pipeline design of emergency approach function and the pipeline design of avoiding obstacles in complex terrain are elaborated in depth. Finally, the development process of three-dimensional flight pipeline is explained.
