This paper develops a multi-dimensional evaluation framework for new rail transit equipment, focusing on electromechanical devices with technological innovations. It defines “new equipment” as devices showing at least one innovation. The evaluation process includes three main indicators: “Dual Carbon” contribution, refined intelligence, and safety assistance. Secondary indicators are established for each dimension, covering low-carbon advancements, system intelligence, and safety technologies. The paper also compares common evaluation models and techniques, such as root cause analysis and expert scoring. This work provides a foundation for evaluating new rail transit equipment, offering insights into technological progress, sustainability, and safety in the industry.
