At present, the rapid urbanization and traffic motorization in China aggravate the problem of urban road congestion. When the road is congested, vehicles will have a variety of driving cycles, which will cause some extra fuel consumption. The extra fuel consumption increases the fuel cost of urban transportation. This paper analyzes the main factors that affect the fuel consumption from the driving characteristics; By collecting relevant data and using SPSS statistical analysis software, the fuel consumption models under uniform speed, deceleration and acceleration conditions are established; According to the relevant data, the time scale model of deceleration and acceleration and idle time scale model are established; Based on the above two models, the fuel consumption model of urban road congestion is established; The representative value of road congestion state is substituted into the fuel consumption model of road congestion to compare and analyze the fuel consumption of free, mild, moderate and serious congestion.
