In the world of import-export, the transport of goods by sea is a must. Indeed, nearly 90% of world trade is carried out in this way. For this reason, companies and states compete in ingenuity to invent the container transport of tomorrow.

The objective of this work is to study the role of the IoT and blockchain smart contracting technologies in the maritime transport networks of goods and whether it would bring a real added value in the case of a Logistics company. The results showcase the potentials of using blockchain smart contracting in the environment of maritime freight transport networks.
