Logistics is one of those areas where IT implementation is especially important. The development of logistics companies is impossible without the use of IT, which are the basis for the competitive advantages’ formation. The negative manifestations of the COVID-19 pandemic have further increased the need for IT adoption and application for a wide range of logistics tasks. One of the most negative trends in the post-pandemic crisis is the disruption of well-functioning and optimized supply chains. The aim of this study is to find the information technology-based solutions that meet the challenges of ensuring the viability of the crisis and the development of logistics companies. Based on the analysis of the industrial results for 2020 and the study of interviews with experts for 2020–2021, an assessment of the pandemic consequences for logistics has been made by type of activity and in the industry as a whole; the experience of introducing and using information technologies in logistics and related industries was studied. Priority tasks for the logistics companies’ development have been set, and IT solutions that could successfully solve them have been selected. In addition to the advantages and positive experience of using IT in the practice of logistics companies, the problems especially typical for developing countries that limit the massive spread of IT in logistics have been pointed out. The article highlights the areas of logistics companies’ informatization, the need for which is intensified by the manifestation of the crisis and which are able to successfully contribute to the strategic business development in the future.
