Based on regret theory and utility theory, this paper studies the passenger travel route choice behavior in urban rail transit. Aiming at the problem of neglecting passenger heterogeneity and the scale effect of OD in existing passenger route choice models of urban rail transit, a semi-compensated route choice model considering passenger heterogeneity is constructed, which combines regret minimization and utility maximization. In the route choice of semi-compensatory behavior, the generation of effective route set and the selection of optimal route from effective route set are considered. The passenger’s individual parameters and regret coefficient were regarded as random variables to express the heterogeneity of passengers. Based on the surveyed data of Chengdu Metro, the transfer volume of Chengdu Metro after the opening of Line 10 is predicted.
