The Solar System represents a classic example of the n-body problem. The Sun is the dominant force on the orbital motion of Earth, while the perturbations due to the gravity of the other planets give rise to deviations from the 2-body motion. Another example is the case of an artificial satellite in Earth orbit. The dominant force center is Earth, with perturbations due to the gravity of the Sun and Moon, the aspherical (oblate) shape of Earth, atmospheric drag, solar radiation pressure, and general relativity.
