The quality of a train journeyJourney depends largely on the cost of rail travel and the quality of the service. These costs are incurred by rail passengers when paying for their tickets and other services in connection with the travel process. The mathematical modelMathematical model, which is made up of six sub-criteriaSub-criteria, assesses ticket fare, price of mealsPriceof meals served in the dining-carDining-car and their quality, price of newspapersPriceof newspapers and magazines, price of the health insurance card valid abroad, visaVisa fees, delivery of meals (included in the ticket priceTicket price) to passengers travelling in the first-class double compartment. The weights of the sixWeightsub-criteriasub-criteriaSub-criteria of the mathematical modelMathematical model have been established by expertExpert analysis, involving the opinionsOpinion of passengers, train staff and railway company management. The variablesVariables in the model are calculated using the formulas. The practical application of the model to a real international train demonstrates its adequacy. This model makes it possible to quantify the quality of each train with all its actual costs (prices).
