Based on the high altitude long endurance UAV, this paper achieved the dynamics modeling and simulation of the airdrop process for a large aspect ratio foldable UAV. The Lagrange multiplier method of multi-body dynamics theory is used to model the fold-wing UAV, and the configuration change form of this fold-wing UAV after dropping is obtained. Meanwhile, the natural response of the dropping process is simulated. Through these data, it can be observed that the UAV fully expanded soon after releasing out, and carried out a stable dive, then pulled up and climbed up, which provides a reference for future flight control system to intervene in this process.
