Hyperspectral is generally defined as the spectral resolution that is higher than 1/100 of wavelength. Hyperspectral could be reserved for interferometer type imaging sensors with a very fine spectral resolution. The hyperspectral remote sensing system mainly in visible and infrared spectral bands can acquire the spatial size and distribution information of the target. In addition, it can accurately depict the “continuous” electromagnetic spectral reflection characteristics of ground objects in narrower and denser imaging bands. This imaging method, which simultaneously obtains spatial and spectral information of objects, is called “imaging spectroscopy.” Hyperspectral remote sensing system is one of the most effective space remote sensing systems for monitoring the dynamic changes of the Earth’s environment and quantitative retrieval by remote sensing. It is widely used in the fields of Earth science and applications, deep space exploration and security and defense.
