This work deals with the problem of applying system analysis and mathematical modeling methods to developing human–machine interface design of advanced supersonic aircraft. The method of hierarchical task analysis is used for development. The mathematical model of pilot’s activities is developed in the form of a Petri net. This paper gives an example of the development of data input frames using these methods. The work also considers the crew work simulation using Petri nets to obtain crew tasks performance time intervals. This is relevant given that time issues are particularly important for supersonic aircraft.
