In the context of automotive innovation, design processes are usually subject to different types of constraints. Validations therefore involve thorough research efforts. In this chapter, we provide a very succinct introduction into behaviour research, describing the process of setting up an experiment, generating hypotheses, designing the experiment and collecting and analysing experimental data.
