Even though Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) combat swarms enjoy broad prospect, the effectiveness, feasibility and adaptability of anti-UAV swarms are open to question, owing to its relatively late start and chaotic countering techniques. Therefore, based on the three typical mission scenarios: field air defense, city air defense and maritime air defense, the paper analyzes the adaptability of four methods of countering UAV swarms, including detection, interference, damage, and camouflage and deception from the five factors of feasibility, collateral damage, electromagnetic interference, effectiveness-cost, and supporting facilities requirements. Corresponding weapon configuration for the three typical mission scenarios is proposed with a view to provide reference for the future development and application of countermeasures against UAV swarms.
