As a key construction machine in road construction, vibratory rollers play a vital role in the construction of highways, airports, ports, dykes and industrial building sites. With the rapid expansion of construction machinery ownership, the resulting environmental problems have become more and more prominent. In the background of “carbon neutral” era, the future development trend of construction machinery field will focus on energy saving and intelligence. The real-time and accurate collection of energy consumption data of vibratory rollers is the basis of energy saving and intelligence. In this paper, we study a data collection system for energy consumption characteristics of vibratory rollers, which is divided into two major parts: hardware and software. The hardware is the edge-end device, responsible for real-time data acquisition, and the software system visualizes and stores these data in real time.
