As global climate change continues, there is an increasing occurrence of sudden heavy rainfall brought by tropical cyclones. This has led to short-term precipitation exceeding the threshold for urban waterlogging, resulting in water invasion into underground subway stations. This study considers the extreme scenario of water invasion in subway stations and utilizes the finite element method with Ansys-Fluent to simulate the dynamic process of water invasion at platform level. The calculated water depth and flow velocity functions are coupled with pedestrian evacuation walking speed models. MassMotion pedestrian simulation and crowd analysis software are used to analyze the multi-flow pedestrian evacuation methods and time, optimize the evacuation methods, develop reasonable emergency evacuation strategies, and improve pedestrian emergency evacuation efficiency. Taking the Luomashi station of Chengdu Metro Line 18 as an example, this research examines the impact of emergency evacuation strategies under water invasion conditions on evacuation efficiency. The simulation results can provide reference for the design and operation management of subway station water invasion prevention and evacuation.
