Changes in available technology have led to many changes in daily life across the global population. One distinct emergingEmerging area is the concept of working from home. Though the necessary technology has been available for a while, exponential advancements have impacted human ergonomicsErgonomics considerations. A systematicSystematic literature review was conducted to evaluate the relationship between ergonomicsErgonomics training and working from home over the period 2010–2021. The databases used to conduct research included VicinitasVicinitas, GoogleGoogle Scholar, Harzing’sHarzing Publish or Perish, ScopusScopus, SpringerLink, Dimensions, and Web of Science. The two key searches used on each database were kept constant (“ergonomicsErgonomics” AND “training” and “working from home”). Software used for data analysis of the output from the databases included VOSViewer, CiteSpaceCitespace, BibExcelBibexcel, and MAXQDAMaxqda. Results show that the key topic of ergonomicsErgonomics training has been of interest across the years 2010 to 2021, while the key topic of working from home did not show distinct emergence until 2020. This is notably after the COVID-19 pandemicPandemics began. Literature shows a distinct focus on how ergonomicsErgonomics training has become more related to working from home after the COVID-19 pandemicPandemics required an increase in the concept of working from home across multiple industriesIndustry. Future work evaluates a project study conducted within the National Science Foundation focusing on using the process of augmentedAugmented reality to implement ergonomicsErgonomics training within different environments related to body motionMotion and biomechanicsBiomechanics.
