E-Commerce has changed the needs of customers as well as the way companies operate while satisfying these changed needs. The development of information technology services influenced the business sector, which, adapting to the new reality, began to create new areas of services that were not even imagined before. A fundamental consequence for the entire supply chain caused by the increasing volumes of e-Commerce is the increased relevance of the organization of last-mile delivery. The last-mile delivery to customers is usually done using road vehicles. However, at the same time, this method is the most polluting alternative for freight transport. However, companies tend to choose ecological and efficient methods of transportation, to save on the last-mile delivery stage, so innovative solutions are increasingly being sought to ensure the organization of the last-mile process, with particular emphasis on the aspects of reducing pollution and transportation costs. The article examines the problems of organizing last-mile delivery, highlighting the innovative ways to solve these problems and the conditions necessary for the implementation of these innovations.
