The guidance system, which resembles traction, suspension and eddy current braking system, is an essential part to guarantee the safe operation of the high-speed maglev train. Suffering from the influence of numerous elements, the guidance system possesses comparatively large nonlinearity, thus making the train collide with the track readily, or even hold the track in difficulty. Therefore, excellent controllers are indispensable for the guidance system. Accordingly, the operation mechanism of the guidance system is analyzed in this paper above all. Then the mathematical model is established so as to propose the design of an H2 controller. Ultimately, the control structure based on the residual generator is designed through the Youla parameter matrix. The facts upon experiments lead to a conclusion that, with the adoption of the Youla parameterization H2 control strategy, the response speed and anti-interference ability of the system are significantly improved while the robustness of the system is enhanced simultaneously.
