Abstract We consider a coupled thermoelasticity problem, the solution of which in the finite element statement is carried out both in a conventional way and a formal one with the use of the thermoforce analogy. Formalization of derivation makes it possible to significantly simplify the procedure of obtaining the calculation relations both in the general statement and in special cases that are of practical importance for designing FV structures.
