At present, China’s railway construction has entered a stage of rapid development, and with the increase of railway transportation, blockchain technology can be applied to the field of railway freight transport to solve the problems of opaque information, imperfect supervision mechanism and difficult traceability of materials in the existing material management system. This paper first introduces and analyses blockchain and the current situation of railway material management at the present stage, then combines the features of blockchain such as transparency, decentralization and information non-tamperability with railway material management platform, designs a railway material management platform based on blockchain technology, and researches the key technologies in it to realize a safe, transparent and efficient modern railway material management. Considering the evaluation needs of the material management.
