Vehicular ad-hoc network plays an important role in the development of information technology. Intelligent devices installed in the vehicles will act as the part of automated vehicles and intelligent transportation system. The devices connected in the network need to be communicate each other. However, the connecting and communicating devices are considered as smart appliances, vehicles to any type of devices, and roadside units. There is always a risk to the privacy of users’ information and location. Recent research investigations are made to ensure the privacy and security in smart vehicles. This proposed paper illustrates the review on trust-based framework with SDN in vehicular network and fog computing applications to be a new paradigm in future to resolve the security issues in various research domains.
