Abstract Fuzzy based automation in automobile industries has attracted many researcher in recent years for their ability to adapt human like expertise. In this paper, combination of fuzzy based navigation and parallel parking problem is discussed. Navigation algorithm makes a vehicle able to reach to destination avoiding nearby obstacles. Main objective of this paper is to highlight and explore challenges present in parking system. Multipurpose parallel parking system is mainly focused. Different forward and reverse parking situations are considered in parallel parking. Matlab simulations are also provided to aid and validate claim of challenges.
