Unsteady and strong transient behavior are important characteristics of the pulsed plasma thruster (PPT) pulse discharge process. During the discharge process, rapidly heating the propellant surface leads to the ablation and ionization of the wall material. The plasmoid is rapidly formed in the acceleration channel and then accelerated and ejected under the Lorentz force.
