The Czech Aerospace Research Centre has completed Phases 0, A, and B1 studies of the AMBIC and QUVIK missions in 2023, and these missions have been selected for the implementation phase with a planned launch in 2028. These missions are based on the innovative, modular, and versatile spacecraft platform CAP (Czech Advance Platform). The Czech Advanced Platform is developed to have the capability to integrate different types of payloads, such as communication, optical and scientific payloads, CAP is suitable for missions of small satellites for Low Earth Orbit with a lifetime of 5 years and a size ranging from 50 to 200 kilograms. An important part of the development is the use of COTS components and the efficient adaptation of the ECSS, which can help to find cost-effective solutions for missions of this size. Both missions will be handled under the supervision of the European Space Agency.
