The diversion section at the exit of B-type trumpet ramp has always been an accident black spot in the road network. However, the length of deceleration lane in the diversion section, as an important indicator affecting traffic safety, has been lacking of reasonable research. In light of this, based on the theory of secondary reduction, this paper calculated deceleration lane length recommended value for circular ramp in B-type trumpet Interchange with the mainline design speed of 120 km/h. The driving speed of vehicles in shunt nose and the reaction time of drivers are considered in the model. The results show that when the design speed of the main line is 120km/h, the length of B-type trumpet exit deceleration lane is longer than the length in “Specification”. The design speed of the ramp is 30km/h, 35km/h and 40km/h, and the corresponding length is 5m, 15m and 25m longer than the specified length. The research results can provide a reference for road designers to determine the length of B-type trumpet Interchange exit deceleration lane.
