A method of analysis of the motion of a flying object based on the rotation scheme of a rigid body is considered. This method permits both the attitude and the trajectory of the centre of gravity to be calculated. The latter is related to the fact (which is well known in differential geometry) that local behaviour of any three-dimensional curve is completely determined by its curvature and twisting. The singularities inherent in the equations of motion with the use of Euler angles are absent in the presented method. Some analytical examples are included into this paper for clarity.
