This SAE Standard establishes the maximum gradient rating during hopper discharge of self-propelled, driver-operated sweepers and scrubbers as defined by SAE J2130. There are no existing standards for stability while dumping hoppers of self-propelled sweepers and scrubbers. Manufacturers of these products have historically reviewed standards of other vehicles and applied criteria for stability as deemed appropriate. This SAE Standard proposes stability requirements as would be applied to machines described in SAE J2130.
