During extra vehicular activity an astronaut in the Apollo Applications Program will be immersed in the radiofrequency fields of various telemetry antennas that are part of the cluster of vehicles. By calculating the RF field from these antennas under conservative simplifying assumptions and comparing this with the biologically acceptable limit for whole body RF radiation, it is established that a large factor of safety for this hazard exists for the astronaut.
