As vehicle manufacturers and suppliers work to meet the new FMVSS 202a head restraint mandate, they are being challenged to find solutions outside of traditional Polyurethane head restraints. This paper explores the use of expanded polyolefin foams and their ability to be a viable option to meet the 202a requirement.
