This paper describes a fan and electric heater unit that circulates and heats oxygen at 2400 psig and −170 F in a space vehicle storage tank. The motor, ball bearings, and all other parts of the unit are fully exposed to oxygen and are made of oxygen-compatible materials. The paper includes an explanation of heat-transfer design methods, a description of the unit and its parts, some performance diagrams, and a description of the brief development program.
