This SAE Recommended Practice provides test procedures, requirements, and guidelines for rear cornering lamps for use on vehicles less than 9.1 m in overall length. The following statements will give the rationale for the changes/modifications in the content of SAE J1373 APR1996: Section 6.1.5.1 Table 1: Moved the photometric values from Table 2 (Guidelines) into Table 1 (Requirements). This is consistent with the direction of eliminating photometric guidelines and having photometric requirements in the SAE J-documents. Section 6.1 has been changed to read: A device, when tested in accordance with the test procedures specified in Section 5, shall be designed to conform to the following requirements: Section 7.1.3 Table 2: Eliminated Table 2 (Guidelines). Numbering corrections and formatting where needed.
