A new type of temperature sensor has been developed, a design capable of providing a ratiometric voltage output for the measurement of temperatures up to 650°C. The sensor requires no supporting amplifiers or signal conditioning electronics. This paper presents details of construction and results of laboratory performance tests for this sensor. An accuracy of ±3% has been achieved over a temperature range of ambient to 650°C.
