At the first AIAA-SAE-ASME Reliability Symposium held in June, 1963, Mr. Lionel Levy of Republic Aviation Corporation and Lt. Cherian of the USAF gave a paper describing a Reliability Program that had been established on some of the equipment on the F-105 aircraft. Included was a discussion regarding some of the basic philosophy and early problems encountered. This paper to be delivered at the 1964 SAE-AIAA-ASME Reliability Symposium by C. W. Russell is a sequel and will discuss some of the results, problems and benefits that have accrued during the past year on this program. In conclusion it is believed this program accomplished the very purpose and objective for which it was established. It gave the customer a system with much higher quality and more reliability. It enabled the contractors to benefit from their efforts in terms of an added fee.
