BERU glow plugs effect -selfregulating or electronically controlled- a cold start comparable to gasoline engines with a extreme good durability. The latest glow plug development opens a wide range of combustion process control via ion current sensing. Electric intake air heaters support the cold start process in a wide displacement range. Intake manifold burners are applied to large displacement engines and at arctic temperatures.
