The application of computer technology to automobile system testing is an important advance in assuring customer satisfaction of continued operation of a total system rather than the customary quality control of component parts. The functions of the power supply tester (EAGER) described here are programed easily by a pushbutton actuated “book” of “pages”, each of which carries a specific test. Information provided by the machine “closes a loop” from design to performance and this together with versatility and simplicity of operation make its use for testing other kinds of products an important consideration.
