ITE's Advocacy Committee is pleased to present ITE Advocacy Guidelines for Taking a Position. These guidelines are intended to provide clarity to all members on how to advocate for transportation-related topics as well as to promote relationship building beyond ITE ensuring that our voice is heard. The Policies of the Institute of Transportation Engineers is filled with any number of action items that the Institute supports, encourages, and promotes. The goal of these guidelines is to provide the framework from which members should feel empowered to advocate and to establish a platform to promote activities relative to ITE's strategic priorities. Advocacy matters, and ITE's voice must be heard. The Advocacy Committee's mission is to empower the membership to be the professional voice of the transportation industry.
