AbstractNanofluid hydrothermal behavior in a channel is investigated for potential use in the regenerative cooling channel of a semicryogenic engine. The basic partial differential equations are reduced to ordinary differential equations, which are solved analytically using the differential transformation method. The effects of pertinent parameters such as nanofluid volume fraction, suction parameter, viscosity parameter, and Eckert number on the flow and heat transfer characteristics are discussed. Results indicate that skin friction is an increasing function of nanofluid volume fraction, while it is a decreasing function of viscosity parameter and suction parameter. The Nusselt number has a direct relationship with nanofluid volume fraction and suction parameter, but it has a reverse relationship with viscosity parameter and Eckert number.
