Report presents analysis of errors in image of scene reconstructed from output of synthetic-aperture interferometric radiometer (SAIR). Receiving at typical frequency of 1.4 GHz, SAIR is airborne or spaceborne instrument including several antennas aimed at nadir and arrayed along line perpendicular to trajectory, such that antennas scan swath along ground track in "pushbroom" fashion. Streaks in reconstructed scene partly removed by image-enhancement techniques.
