Two independent techniques used to infer the electrical conductivity of the interior of the Moon are discussed. The first is the measurement of an incident spectrum of electromagnetic waves in the solar wind near the Moon and the separate measurement of the incident plus reflected spectrum on the surface of the Moon. The second is the measurement of the distortion of the ambient magnetic field of the geomagnetic tail lobes by the conducting Moon. The size of the conducting region was found to be greater than 400 km in radius.
