The next two major data acquisition events in planetary exploration are outlined. They are the encounter with Uranus in January 1986 and with Neptune and its large moon Triton in 1989. A discussion of the Galileo mission and the suspended VOIR mission to Venus is given. Cost considerations and future plans are presented.
