The measurement and prediction of wing airloads for space shuttle orbiter 101 during approach and landing tests is discussed. Strain gage instrumentation, calibration, and flight data processing are covered along with wind tunnel and simulator results. The generation of theoretical predictions using the FLEXSTAB computer program is described, and the results are compared to experimental measurements.
