This study, conducted by Navistar International Transportation, and Detroit Diesel, was funded by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency. The report shows the results of feasibility study done to investigate the potential profitability of assembling diesel engines in Central and Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States for Installation in trucks and other vehicles and equipment. The primary focus is on assembling engines in Belarus for installation in trucks manufactured by the Minsk Truck Works, (MAZ). This volume contains the Market Survey, and it is divided into the following sections: (1) Business and Manufacturing Outlines; (2) Laws of Belarus.
