Life Support has been described as the protection and sustenance for living organisms in extreme environments such as outer space. In space medicine, a closed ecological system is one that provides for the body's metabolism in a spacecraft, sometimes by means of recycling processes. Since, under conditions of weightlessness, physical fitness is an important factor in effective survival in space, it is a prime requisite in selection of astronauts for space travel. This bibliography presents 149 unclassified and unlimited references that have been cataloged in the DDC collection.
