The N. C. State Highway Commission proposes to reconstruct existing NC 110 into an adequate two-lane highway from the south corporate limits of Canton southward to US 276 in Haywood County, North Carolina. The project will have a favorable overall impact on man's environment by replacing an antiquated road with a modern facility that will provide faster, safer, and more efficient transportation. Principal adverse effects resulting from the five-mile project are acquisition of right-of-way through private lands and displacement of seventeen families and three businesses.
