N1812H, a Cessna 310C operated by the chief pilot of Pan Alaska Airways, Ltd., disappeared on a flight from Anchorage to Juneau, Alaska, on October 16, 1972. An extensive air, sea, and land search was conducted during the 39 day period following October 16, 1972. Nothing was found that could be identified with either the aircraft or its occupants. The National Transportation Safety Board is unable to determine the probable cause of the accident from the evidence presently available. If the aircraft is found, the Board will continue the investigation and make a determination as to the probable cause. (Author)
