Land acquisition, widen, strengthen, light and extend Runway 6-24 to 5,000 ft. x 100 ft.; construct parallel taxiway 5,000 ft. x 40 ft.; and airport access road; intall security fencing; VASI-2; approach clearing and/or obstruction lighting at the Biddeford Municipal Airport, York County, Biddeford, Maine. Because of the location of the existing airport, there are no apparent identifiable adverse environmental effects resulting from the proposed runway widening and extension. The direction of the extension is to the southwest or away from the residential areas and on secondary type woodland growth. No persons will be displaced as a result of this development. The extended runway will enable larger and possibly noisier type aircraft to utilize this site. The extent of noise pollution for the forseeable future will be objectionable to the few residents that are in very close proximity to the airport.
