The report presents a case study on effects of different kinds of road investments on the public transport in Bergen--the second largest city in Norway. Increased capacity on the main roads into Bergen and separate lanes for the public transport, have increased the average speed and thereby the cost effectiveness of examined bus lines by 6 to 20 percent. While the substitution of car ferries or passenger ships with fixed road links have led to few changes in travelling time with public transport to Bergen, it has nevertheless created opportunities for a more efficient way of running the bus companies.
