This Semiannual Report to Congress presents information regarding the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Office of Inspector General's work and results achieved during the six-month period ending September 30, 2006. It is issued in accordance with the requirements of the Inspector General Act of 1978, as amended, and specifically addresses our oversight responsibilities for USAID, the African Development Foundation (ADF), and the Inter-American Foundation (IAF). OIG continues to use a collaborative, proactive, and results-oriented approach in support of the integrity, efficiency, and effectiveness of USAID, ADF, and IAF programs and operations.
