Students in a physical training platoon, were administered the Marine Corps physical fitness test. Half of them were then given a protein dietary supplement and half were given placebos each day for four weeks on a double-blind basis. The physical fitness test was then readministered. There was no evidence that the group which received the supplement performed better on the retest than did the control group. (Author)
